To Thrones, Or Not To Thrones?

Game of Thrones; a television show that is simultaneously evil and beautiful. With a winning cast and an intriguing story line, the show is such a big deal that modern day society may shun you for having no knowledge of the phenomenon. However great and extremely well portrayed the show may be, there is no arguing the gaping hole of sorrow and pain its' most recent season has left in the hearts of GoT super-fans everywhere. To take a life so sweet, so pure, in worst manner of them all... A mutiny? Really? Let's not talk about it. Forever in our hearts, Jon Snow.

With that being said, I have come to the conclusion that I may not watch next season, but this decision did not come easily. So many other story lines have yet to come to a close and are infinitely up in the air. If you feel deep hatred for the writer of GoT for killing off the only bae left, but are also unsure of whether or not you are prepared to quit watching, take the time to walk through #119's: Reasons Why and Why Not to Continue Watching Game of Thrones.

Yes: FOMO
You're friends, mom, dad, teachers, and grandparents will all be gossiping and gushing about what happened in season 6 and if you decide not to watch, the fear of missing out will be a tough bug to bite. With social media over-sharing every play-by-play of the world's most dramatic show, it'll also be pretty hard to ignore. If the FOMO's got you bad, keep watching and stay in the loop.

No: No More Sunday Night Panic Attacks
You think I'm joking? This past season 5 episode 8 actually gave me a minor panic attack and I was forced to pace my apartment until I cooled down. Even if you are fully aware that this is a fictional television show, that doesn't mean it wont stress you the hell out. If you're like me and your supply of chill pills seem to take a dive every Sunday evening, maybe it's time to call it all off.

Yes: Tyrion & Arya Might Win For Once
There is an actual possibility that two show favorites may prevail next season. I'm not getting your hopes up or anything but, it did seem as though Tyrion is finally where he needs to be helping the true ruler or Westeros (aka homegirl Dany) rise above her seemingly perpetual stagnation. And little Arya finally learned to face change, so who knows how soon she may return home to take some lives. Both very viable reasons to return to GoT.

No: Cersei Lannister.
Cersei, ugh. Sure, she got shamed all the way home, but now she has The Mountain on some Frankenstein-type stuff and will probably get her way once again. She suffered for all of 3 to 4 episodes and I have no doubt in my mind that season 6 will only featuring her smug smirk as she's burning that church and all it's people to the ground. Kill Cersei Lannister and maybe I'll come back. Until then, peace and blessings.

Yes: Will Bran Return?
Where in the world in Brandon Stark? Last we heard, he went into some cave, spoke to a mystical being, and disappeared to learn more about his semi-useless powers. While Bran isn't much of a reason to watch season 6, he is pretty adorable and let's be honest, there aren't many Stark's left to root for, so any/all deserve my love and attention.

No: Probably not.
I can come up with as many theories as to how Jon will come back, Arya will destroy her enemies, Sansa and Theon will torture Ramsay, and forecast rainbows and sunshine in all of Westeros, but the fact of the mater is this is just not that kind of show. As the past 5 seasons have proved, all your faves will die no matter what you nor the fan-base wants. So let me give my heart a break and politely decline watching this next season. While a fantastic show, I'm really going to have to give my return some thought. I'm in too much pain fam.
