Wardrobe Staples: Functional Neutrals

| #119 Main Writer - Kate Lester |
Fall is officially in full swing, and in a never-ending sea of browns and grays, it's nice to switch it up a bit with a muted, versatile color. We here at #119 like to call these colors functional neutrals—you can wear them with any and everything, and they will always look on point. So, what are our favorite functional neutrals this fall?
Burgundy
This hue works perfectly with any skin tone, and adds some warmth to an outfit on a brisk fall day. Going for a bag in a deep wine-red is a great way to add some interest to your everyday look without worrying about clashing colors.
Olive
Nothing say's laid back quite like the perfect olive green. While we're particularly fond of this color in outerwear, cozy sweaters and relaxed knits are right at home in this shade. Olive green + light grey is truly a match made in fashion heaven.
Navy
Ah yes, the timeless navy. A true wardrobe staple, this classic color will make any outfit look instantly polished. Little Navy Dress, anyone? Update your fall wardrobe with a few pieces in this effortless hue—you won't regret it, trust.
