Artists You Should Know Part II

Here is the second installment of Artists You Should Know, in which we do all the laborious work of showing you some good artists and you get to reap the benefits of our efforts. If you don't know about these four, now you do. Follow us on Soundcloud for a playlist of these artists and various other tings. XO

Bishop Nehru

Why We Love Him: Sweet, young Markel Scott. Only 18 years old and has already shown so much potential. His ability (and tendency) to spit over spacey, new-age beats is what makes him so exciting and so representative of how rap is converging with so many other genres- and how the lines between those genres are getting continually more blurred. And he worked with Disclosure on the above. If those sweet English boys are a fan of his, then you better believe I am too.
Best Songs: Breath, Harmony In A Glass, Lemon Grass, Sweet Lips, Mob Dizzle

Sam Gellaitry

Why We Love Him: If you take a look at the comments under his tracks on SoundCloud, you will see things like "I don't need a girlfriend, I have Sam Gellaitry" and "wow maybe the best beat I eva heard". We feel the same way. Truly such a cool artist with such a cool sound. If this is the future of electronic music then I'm more than okay with it. Also, falling into line with the recurring #119 theme of young talents, I'd also like to point out that he's 17 years old.
Best Songs: Paper, us, belonging, Waiting So Long, nah

Gallant

Why We Love Him: Three words: ear melting falsetto. Gallant has emerged into the world of music and made a name for himself as one of those artists you can only listen to if you're feeling deep and spiritual af. Giving you a heightened sense of life and all that is holy, he hits notes you could only dream of and gives off a beautiful aura in his music overall.
Best Songs: Jupiter Grayscale, Manhattan, Weight In Gold, Learn To Fly

The Internet

Why We Love Them: Jams, people. Nothing but jams. The Internet is comprised of 6 production and alternative R&B gurus who have nothing better to do than share with us the sweet joys of vibey and jazz-infused music. Because the universe can sometimes be kind, they've just recently dropped an entirely new album title Ego Death that is pure gold. Let us rejoice.
Best Songs: Special Affair, For the World, Get Away, Stay Inside (The Internet Remix), Under Control
