Having lived in the city of Boston for two full years now, I have noticed that there is not a day when I walk down the street and people aren't taking pictures. Street Photography has recently been on the rise as photographers seek to find new perspectives on every day sights. See below for a list of 5 city photographers, from Boston all the way to Shanghai, that will be sure to make your Instagram feed a little more interesting. Not only does Joe Thomas get points for being a fellow Northeastern Husky, but this Boston-based photographer has captured his city at virtually every angle. Trust me when I say the record-breaking snowfall Boston received this winter was NOT cute, yet Joe continued to find ways to highlight the city's beauty. His focus on structural subjects is evident as he has also photographed the quaint streets of Barcelona and the naturally crafted canyons of his beautiful home state, Utah.

Also based in Boston, Jonna Mojica has a flare for the underground. It is clear that this Instagram connoisseur finds the beauty of a city in its people as much as its architecture. His photos seek to not only appeal to the eye, but to the viewer's emotions as well. His travels to New York City, Miami, and other parts of Massachusetts have allowed him to capture life in cities that cannot always be seen at a quick glance.

Admittedly, I first started following Brandon on Tumblr purely because of his love for all things OVO, but one day I scrolled passed his original photos and had to hit him with the IG follow. His photos of the streets and high rises of Toronto and Shanghai are so surreal that they more closely resemble Gotham City than they do real life. His graphic design skills happen to be stellar as well, just check out his recent constructions of Kendrick Lamar and Drake. In fact, it is exactly this talent that landed the Vancouver native the title of Editor-in-Chief of Street Dreams Magazine. His career has taken him all over the globe while the magazine has grown to have one of the biggest Instagram photography networks to exist. Best believe I will be asking for all 6 editions in print this Christmas!
