TV Shows: 5 Black Holes You Just Can't Resist

These are my confessions: Just when I thought I watched all I could watch, I continued to sit and watch some more. We all know this blissful struggle and maybe you haven't come to terms with the fact that there are certain shows that will trap you on the couch for hours on end. We here at #119 have compiled a list of 5 shows that become "television black holes" you just can't resist. Let's break it down:

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

If when reading that title you hummed the "dun-dun" at the beginning of theme song, you definitely know a little something about how easy it is to get wrapped up in this show. No matter how horrifying or traumatizing the subject matter may be, there we are, glued to the screen as Stabler and Benson take on the worst of New York and capture our hearts in the process. There will never come a time that I will turn down a USA SVU marathon. Never. I'm too caught up, fam. These are their stories. 

House Hunters

Dream homes in dream locations with dream budgets; how could you not get stuck living vicariously through the lucky SOBs who gets to hunt for the perfect house? Truthfully, by the end of watching a House Hunters marathon, I am merely a shell of the woman I once was and there is usually a permanent indent of my body in my leather couch. It is all too easy to get lost watching any show on this evil network, but House Hunters definitely takes the cake.

One Tree Hill

There was a point in my life where I wished to live in a town as small as Tree Hill where the only things I had to worry about were basketball, my choice between the 3 men fighting over me, and which famous musician would randomly appear in my life. Thanks to Netflix, I am currently re-watching this CW classic and have neglected just about everything else in my life. Caught up in the drama of the town, One Tree Hill easily makes the list as one of the best binge worthy and addicting shows of all time.

Scandal

3 seasons in a week and a half? It's handled. If you haven't watched this show, I'm not quite familiar with addressing your situation. With a show this well written (shout out to my girl Shonda Rhimes), entertaining, and full of twists and turns, it is too easy to breeze through the past seasons without batting an eye. My queen Kerry Washington continually delivers every episode and draws you in with every word; you basically can't resist. Sorry.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

I am ashamed of my addiction to this show, but there really is no way around it. Honestly, there is nothing too special about what the Kardashian's do in comparison to other wealthy families, besides the fact that they are hilarious while doing so. I tried soooo hard to be uninterested but always found myself promptly in front of the television for this week's latest episode. Let's not even talk about the power of a KUWTK marathon... *suppresses memories*
