Colourpop-pin

So here's the thingI love lipsticks, and I would probably spend a hell of a lot more money on them if I didn't sign my soul away to GrubHub on a weekly basis. But I do, and so I don't. For a long time, quality lippies have been a special treat I buy for myself occasionally. Oh, your birthday is coming up? Treat yourself to that $21 matte lipstick you've been eyeing. Now that's been all well and good, don't get me wrong. I have a nice little collection of lipsticks that I like to wear semi-regularly, and they're all great. But it's a nice little collection. As in, not a huge variety of colors.

And experimenting with lip color is fun! It's like a little mini game of dress up - swipe on a new color, and your entire look is different. All I wanted was to find quality lipsticks that I could play around with without breaking the bank. Enter Colourpop

I'd never used any Colourpop cosmetics, but had heard great things, especially about their lip products. So I bit the bullet—though at $5 a pop it wasn't exactly a huge bullet to bite—and ordered 5 lippie stix with high hopes. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The colors are crazy pigmented, the formulas are super creamy (even that matte ones!), and the application is a breeze. And did I mention that a ton of their products, including all of their lippie stix, are vegan? 'Cause they are.

I honestly could not have been happier with this little bundle of joy that was dropped on my doorstep. I ordered LadyButtonLumiereLBB, and Dazed,  all in order in the picture above. All of them are Colourpop's matte formula except for Button, which is a cream satin. I adore all five, but my two favorites are definitely Lumiere and Lady. Lumiere is the perfect dusty mauve, and Lady is a kill cool-toned burgundy. I like to wear it with bold brows, a swipe of mascara, literal tons of highlighter, and a black turtleneck (my go-to "I Could Kill a Man So Don't Test Me" look).

All in all, my Colourpop experience was a great one, and I'll definitely be ordering from them again in the near future since I've already got my eye on a few more colors (BrinkJuice Bar, and Bichette). If you have a favorite Colourpop product, let us know in the comments!
